Lupe Cedillo
Since 2021 Guadalupe “Lupe “Cedillo, has been the Community Outreach Coordinator at Wesley Community Center. She has been committed to the nonprofit sector since 1997 and is passionate about working with the community. Lupe goes far beyond to find resources to help the community thrive at its full potential. Lupe attended Houston Community College. She was the president of the Pasadena, Texas Toastmasters for 2 years and was a member of the Pasadena, Texas Hispanic Business Association. Lupe has attended training on Power Tools for Nonprofits and in Austin, Texas at the National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence. Lupe serves as a Council Member with the United Way Interagency Council and with Super Neighborhood 51 in The Near Northside, as well as a Board Member with the Greater Northside Chamber. Lupe attended Avenue CDC's Spring 2022 Interpreting for Justice Training Fellowship. Lupe participated in The Greater Northside Candidate Forum for the Commissioner Precinct 2 position and is part of the 2023 Greater Northside Candidate Forum for the District H Position. Lupe considers herself a native Houstonian given relocation from Hempstead, Texas at 9 years old. Lupe's family resides in Houston, too. Lupe’s hobbies include traveling on short trips, fishing, dancing, and crocheting.
